Andalusia joins the list of autonomous Spanish regions which have decided to make the wearing of masks compulsory, even on public roads and even if safety distances can be respected. The state of emergency being ended in Spain, each region can impose the rules it wishes. Andalusia has therefore decided to make it mandatory to wear a mask, even at the beach and at the swimming pool. This measure will be implemented from tomorrow Wednesday July 15th. Lisbob, the expatriate assistant, tells you all about the obligation to wear a mask in Andalusia, even at the beach.
The wearing of a mask will be compulsory in open and closed spaces from Wednesday 15th July, throughout Andalusia. The Andalusian autonomous regional council validated this Tuesday a set of preventive measures in the fight against the coronavirus which causes epidemics in different parts of the country.
The obligation to wear the mask will specifically come into force at midnight on Wednesday and must be effective, whether the safety distance can be respected or not, whether in open or closed spaces. The Andalusian government, among the measures it has approved, provides for sanctions for those who do not meet the standard.

The extent to which the mandatory mask is worn extends to all public spaces. Several places such as offices, beaches and swimming pools will be places where the mask should also be used, in order to prevent possible epidemics of coronavirus.
Of course, the mask will not be necessary in the practice of individual sports outdoors, when swimming, and children under 6 years will be prescribed to wear the mask.
"Despite the heat, the difficulties and the limits, we must get used to wearing the mask constantly. With the use of the mask, the risk of contagion is reduced to 1%. You can have fun with a mask," commented Moreno Bonilla during a press address.
In Sevilla, official figures do not indicate a new outbreak of contagion at the moment and the indicators are stable, but the authorities prefer to prevent and avoid situations that occur in other parts of Andalusia and Spain.
