We are currently recruiting an experienced Strategic Buyer to join our Global Direct Procurement team.
As part of the European Sourcing Team, the role of Strategic Buyer is to support the Category Manager in their various missions: strategy development and deployment, supplier management across the business in order to drive value creation and minimize total cost of ownership.
Under the guidance of the Category Manager the role involves establishing and building appropriate relationships with internal stakeholders located in Europe and key suppliers to achieve goals and develop best practices.
This is an evolving position for individuals willing to grow within an international group.
The role can be based in Milan or Armitage, UK.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Strategic Buyer
Supports the creation and implementation of sourcing strategies that adapt and respond to changes in both external market and internal demand.
Performs supply market analysis and monitors supply markets. Benchmarks industry and evaluates new opportunities to be included in the sourcing strategies and supplier selection process.
Analyses usage, cost, performance…data
Is the sourcing expert for the specified products.
Supports strategic supplier evaluation process and selection.
Contributes to negotiations and supports contractual agreements.
Develops relationships with stakeholders at all levels and ensures internal customer satisfaction.
Supports and monitors saving projects for the specified products.
Tracks saving projects and supplier performance.
Identifies opportunities to implement best-in-class approaches to reduce TCO.
Contributes to the development of Procurement performance.
Creates regular reports in the specified spend area.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:
Preferably either 2 years experience in strategic Procurement in an international industrial company and/or relevant education, having built relevant knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques, processes and tools and negotiation skills with vendors and internal stakeholders
Experience in working with cross functional teams, preferable international
Excellent analytical skills
Good communication skills
Excellent team player
Drive for results
Open for multi-national working-culture
Bachelor degree in business administration or similar
Fluent English language is essential
Eligibility to work & live in the UK (if Armitage is preferred)
Travel: Up to 20%
