Cascais enjoys a subtropical climate, with hot summers and mild winters. Average annual temperatures are around 20 degrees Celsius, making it an ideal place for those seeking to escape the cold temperatures of Europe's more northerly regions. The hottest months are July and August, with maximum temperatures approaching 30 degrees Celsius, while the coolest months are January and February, with minimum temperatures of around 10 degrees Celsius. Cascais' pleasant climate is ideal for those looking to enjoy the beach all year round.

Cascais is just 25 kilometers from Lisbon, making it an ideal location for those seeking country living with easy access to the city. There are many ways to get to Lisbon, such as trains, buses and cabs, which are fast, efficient and affordable. Journey times between the two cities vary from 30 minutes to 1 hour. Cascais is therefore an ideal location for people looking to live in the countryside yet with easy access to Lisbon's city life.

Cascais is surrounded by magnificent beaches, some of which are among the finest in Europe. The sandy beaches of Cascais and Estoril are ideal for swimming, surfing and other water sports. These beaches are also equipped with numerous facilities for holidaymakers, including showers, toilets and restaurants. Cascais' beaches are also very busy in summer, but it's easy to find quiet places to relax.

Let me remind you that the first and most important step to take before moving to Portugal is to obtain your NIF, your tax identification number. Without it, it's impossible to work, find accommodation or open a bank account. I can do this for you, remotely and in just a few clicks.
