8 cases of coronavirus in Portugal : Porto new hotbed of contamination

Portugal is increasingly affected by the worldwide coronavirus epidemic. Indeed, the DGS confirmed 8 cases of people affected by Covid-19. They are two men and are admitted to the Hospital de São João, in Porto. The number of Portuguese infected with the new coronavirus Covid-19 rose on Tuesday to 8 according to the latest epidemiological bulletin from the Directorate General of Health issued this morning. These 2 new cases are two men and are admitted to the Hospital de São João, in Porto

The other six confirmed cases of coronavirus are men, two in the 40-49 age group, two in the 30-39 age group, and one in the 60-69 age group, and one woman between 40 and 49 years old. The number of suspected cases is now 117.

Evolution of coronavirus cases in Portugal

Five cases are found in the Porto region, two in Lisbon and one in the central region of the country. Of the six confirmed cases of coronavirus on wednesday, four are imported from abroad. Three cases concern people returning from Italy, one case is from Spain (Valencia region). The other 2 cases were infected in Portugal.

By Tuesday, two other cases had already been confirmed, one in Porto and the other in Lisbon. Currently, there are four confirmed cases in Porto, one in Santo António hospital and three in São João, and another in Lisbon, in Curry Cabral hospital.
