The coronavirus epidemic continues in Portugal with an additional 1,035 cases in 24 hours. The Portuguese General Directorate of Health released these figures today with a total of 7,743 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Portugal and 160 deaths. 4,452 are in the northern region, 1,799 in the Lisbon region, 911 in the central region and 137 in the Algarve. The Azores have 48 cases, Madeira 46 there are 50 confirmed cases in the Alentejo. So far, only 43 patients have fully recovered from the coronavirus, no cure since March 26. 7,743 confirmed cases of coronavirus, 160 deaths and no cured since March 26 in Portugal

Portugal has a total of 7,743 positive cases, 1,035 more than yesterday, according to the daily bulletin of the Directorate General of Health (DGS), this Tuesday, March 31. This new value signifies a strong increase of 16.5% compared to the previous day.

The number of deaths from the new coronavirus in the country has increased to 160. The epidemiological bulletin published this morning indicates that to date, 52,086 suspected cases have been registered and 4,610 people are still awaiting the results of the Covid-19 laboratory tests. Currently there are 40,033 unconfirmed cases after analysis and 19,206 are under surveillance.

According to the new bulletin from the Directorate General of Health, there are 160 deaths registered by Covid-19, 20 more than yesterday.

As for the number of confirmed cases, there are currently 7,443 cases of infection, 1,035 more than what was recorded yesterday. Among those infected, 627 people are hospitalized, including 188 in intensive care units.

The North region continues to be the one with the highest number of deaths (83), followed by the Center region (40) and Lisbon and the Tagus valley (35). There are two deaths in the Algarve.

In Portugal, 853 health professionals are infected with Covid-19, according to figures from the Directorate General for Health recorded until midnight this Sunday, Graça Freitas revealed Monday at a press conference.

According to data published and supplemented by the Secretary of State for Health, António Lacerda Sales, the figures for health professionals infected with the new coronavirus are as follows: 209 doctors and 177 nurses, the others being tested positive for Covid- 19 are operational assistants and others involved in healthcare.
